Donna Cook was elected as Mayor to a three-year term in the November 2021 election after serving as the Ward 2 council representative for two years. She is a lifelong Louisburg resident and currently has a food consulting business- Rabbit Creek Tasteful Gourmet in Louisburg. She owned Rabbit Creek Products, a wholesale dry mix manufacturing company in Louisburg for 35 years before she sold it. Donna received her Associate Degree in Business Administration and System Analysis from Johnson County Community College. Donna is a Master Gardener who loves working outdoors. She also enjoys woodworking; plus, welding and creates various metal/wooden yard art that she displays in her yard. Ms. Cook also volunteers her time for the many organizations she belongs to both locally and nationally (Les Dames de Escoffier & American Legion Auxiliary 250 to name a couple). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. The seat will be up for election in November 2024.
