Burn permits are not required for residents of the City of Louisburg. Burning is allowed inside the city limits on Friday and Saturday only.

A permit application can either be filled out online and brought to Louisburg City Hall or forms are available at City Hall. Permits are not available at the Louisburg fire station. There is no charge for a permit but persons who wish to burn are required to call the Miami County Sheriff's Office prior to burning at 913-294-4444 option 4. A permit is valid from January to June or July to December.

Burning is allowed 1 hour after sunrise and 1 hour after sunset. A responsible party must remain at the burn location for the duration of the burn. Additional regulations are available on the permit.
