Right-Of-Way Project to impact North Louisburg

Evergy will be installing underground fiber optic connecting their substations in Johnson, Miami and Linn counties. Work is expected to start next week and be finished in early December by Evergy’s subcontractors. The project will see the fiber optic line running parallel to Metcalf Road from Johnson County to N. 16th/W. 271st Street on the northern edge of Louisburg. The work will run west along both sides of N. 16th/W. 271st to just east of U.S. 69 where the project will turn south to the substation. The line will also be installed on the west side of Metcalf Road to Mission Belleview where it will turn south to connect to Linn County
