Facade of Louisburg Improvement Program

The Louisburg City Council approved FLIP at meetings in the Fall of 2017. There are two programs - one for businesses in the "Historic Downtown" district of Louisburg and one for residences in the Traditional Neighborhood area. Maps of each area can be found with the applications. The programs takes affect Jan. 1, 2018. FLIP Business allocates $15,000 for matching grants up to $2,500 to assist businesses in making improvements or renovations including brick tucking, decorative awnings, storefront enhancements, signage and more to their business facades. FLIP Residential allocates $5,000 for matching grants of $250 for homeowners in the designated area to make improvements to the facades of their homes such as concrete work, exterior windows & doors, exterior siding/painting, facade restoration, foundation repair, gutter, roof, shutters and more.
